Sustainable Livelihood Evaluation and Influencing Factors of Rural Households: A Case Study of Beijing Ecological Conservation Areas

Rural households’ livelihood sustainability is the core issue that affects their production and life standards, it a necessary evaluation index for rural sustainable development. As sensitive area of urban–rural integration development in Beijing, environmental protection measures industrial structure adjustments ecological conservation areas (ECAs) have influenced stability local livelihood. First, based on capital quantification data, this study established an model sustainability, which employed combined weighting approach technique order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS). Second, investigated influencing factors using methodologies regression analysis mediating effect. The results showed following: (1) overall households was at medium level, scoring 0.4436; (2) sanitation conditions community were rated as critical factor with positive impact livelihood, followed frequency online shopping, family expenditure, management capability village cadres; (3) improving one’s household income can enhance indirectly. Finally, effective strategies explored put forward ECA
